Oh, I have a bad memory related to laundry. Few years ago, it was during backpack travel with my friend. It was about 1-month trip. Of course, I prepared some clothes but If you have ever been a long trip, you also know that. I and my friend had to do laundry about once a week.

One day we used up all the detergent. So, we went to the large supermarket and bought a new one. And we did laundry in the evening after the trip schedule.

However, I think the detergent was too strong or we used it too much or waited for too long time. So, could you guess what happened? The color of my friend’s jeans ran to other clothes and white one of my shirts was stained. The shirt was what I bought the day. It was not that expensive but the next day my friend treated me delicious dinner and I bought same one again. Since that happened, we had been more careful about laundry.

About 3 years ago, there was a promotion celebration party with my co-workers. I was also one of the stars on the day. My co-workers celebrated each other and everyone enjoyed the party. Eventually I got very drunk because I drank too much and drank too fast.

My company did the campaign called the 119, which refers to drinking 1 drink, in 1 place until 9 o’clock. You know what it means? It means to drink moderately. I attended the dinner at 7PM that day because I worked overtime but It took less than 2hours for me to black out. I cannot remember anything but following the company's campaign I went home before 9o’clock.

Before I blacked out, I was definitely drinking with my boss. But when I woke up, it was at home. I felt dizzy and my stomach was upset. However, such things were not important. I couldn’t remember anything about what I said, what I did. It was the first time to experience that kind of thing I was so scared. If you have ever been drunk or blacked out, you would also know how creepy it was.

When I woke up, it was only about 5AM in the morning. It was too early to call someone else. But I called my senior right away. She also participated the party so I hoped to know what happened yesterday. Fortunately, nothing special happened at the party but I fell asleep.

Anyway, the senior I called and another senior, they took me home. As my senior said, when I almost got home, I started throwing up. By the way when I finished throwing up, I said this to seniors. “It’s okay because I drank. Everyone can make a mistake.” It was I who was drunk but I talked like someone else’s story. My seniors were absurd but I continued to show myself leniency. To this day, I cannot understand why I said like that.

Well, let me talk about the experience at my favorite travel place, Paris. I have been France Paris 3 times. When I visited there for the second time, it was about 4 years ago and I went to Paris alone. You know what? The Paris hotel is really expensive. Even the hotel which is not that clean or far from the center of the city also is expensive. I remember it was about 200 Euro a night. So, I decided to stay in the guesthouse instead of hotel.

My plane arrived at CDG international airport late at night. And it was about 10PM when I finally got the guesthouse. There were 5 or 6 people in the living room, they were drinking beer and chatted with each other. I also joined them after unpacking. At that time someone said “Let’s go to see a White Eiffel.” It was the first time ever I heard the word “White Eiffel”. Have you ever heard about it? It means the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Only five minutes at 1am, the Eiffel tower shines only with white light and it is called as White Eiffel.

All the people in the guesthouse went to see it together. It was February so the weather was so cold. It was late time but surprisingly the subway was running when we went to see it. But we had to take an Uber taxi when we came back.

Anyway, fortunately arrived on time, so we could see the White Eiffel tower. It was really pretty and beautiful. It was totally different with orange colored one. It was the best.

Next time when I visited Paris again with my family the next year spring, I introduced the White Eiffel to my parents, my sister and brother and I booked a hotel with a view of the Eiffel tower. If you have not seen it before, you must.

Recently I started drinking various types of wine as a new hobby.

Because the liquor tax is expensive, there were not many people drinking wine.

AS GDP rises in my country or maybe because of COVID-19, more and more people enjoy drinking wine. So, more and more restaurants provide corkage service these days.

It is popular in Korea, but I’m not sure if the restaurants in other countries have such services. Have you ever been to a restaurant that offers such a service?

Anyway I recently have been restaurants with the corkage service many times.

Last month my friend Daniel took a test for a change of job. I knew how hard it was so I booked a fine dining restaurant. It was Italian restaurant called as “Harmonium” located in Seoul city. And as I searched on Google Maps, the restaurant received very high rating.

Especially the restaurant provided free corkage service!

So I prepared a bottle of wine before I went to there. Restaurant staff opened it kindly and offered luxury wine glasses.

We ordered tenderloin steak and pasta. The food tasted extra good, the steak was so tender. We also could enjoy drinking wine with the food. It was really well-paired with the food.

If you visit my country, I like to recommend the restaurant.
